CLIFF MARLOWE

Battery Caption Head

Cliff Marlowe is a lifelong musician having studied guitar and percussion since the age of 5. Beyond high school, Cliff studied music while attending the Musicians Institute of Los Angeles, California and then psychology while at Marshall University and the Marshall University Graduate College in Huntington, WV. During his time at Marshall, he continued his love for percussion by performing with the university drumline and several other world-class indoor and outdoor marching ensembles.

After graduating, Cliff transitioned his engagement with the activity towards educating and designing. He has been a part of many successful high school and independent programs across Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia; also serving as the director for West Virginia’s first and only WGI Finalist percussion ensemble, South Indoor Percussion.

While being rather busy as a welder and mental health advocate for his community, Cliff continues to invest a lot of his passion into this activity. He currently works with Saints Indoor Percussion Ensemble as a snare technician and serves as a consultant for various programs in southern Ohio and West Virginia. This will be Cliff’s third season with Rogues Hollow Regiment and he is excited to see what the season has to offer for the ensemble.
