Jacob Gross is a performing Trumpet Player that was born and raised in Erie, PA.  Jacob regularly performs with professional ensembles in Erie including the Breeze Band and the Gem City Jazz Ensemble. With these groups, he has performed many stages in the Tri-State area, including Celebrate Erie, Eight Great Tuesdays, St  Luke Church Oktoberfest, Tom Hangen’s Birthday Bash, Blues for Shoes, Dunkirk Music on the Pier, the Troika Festival, the Royal Jubilee, the Fuller Hose Fall Fest, Dan Rice days, an Erie Seawolves Game and many more.  

Jacob attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA from 2016 to 2017 where he studied Music Education. During his time there, he performed with the orchestra, wind ensemble, brass quintet (on French Horn), and jazz ensemble.

Jacob has also performed in various Drum Corps throughout his music career. He performed with the Erie Thunderbirds from 2015 to 2018, Phantom Regiment during the 2019 season (on trumpet and featured on mellophone), North Coast Brass Ensemble during the 2021 and 2025 season, and Rogues Hollow Regiment during the 2025 season.

During his free time, Jacob likes to spend time with his friends and family, as well as playing trading card games such as Magic The Gathering and Pokémon.
