Dalton Carney is an Appalachian native composer, producer, educator, and experienced percussionist in a wide variety of contexts. He is also a 3 time WGI Percussion Independent World Class Finalist. While studying at Marshall University he wrote and performed multiple works at SCI (Society of Composers, Inc.) music festivals across West Virginia. Later, he graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Music Theory/Composition in 2022, and currently resides in Hurricane, West Virginia.

However, he wishes to embrace new dreams and opportunities in 2025. This year will be Dalton’s second season teaching with the Rogues Hollow Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps, but he has made a return to teaching and collaborating in the WGI Percussion activity in the new year. Dalton’s purpose in life, and in collaboration with his colleagues, is to radiate positivity, connect on a human level with other people, and solve problems through a balanced use of emotional intelligence and critical thinking.
