Rachael Black has been marching with Rogues Hollow Regiment since 2018 in the mellophone section. As a marching member and board member, Rachael has played an integral role in growing and supporting members throughout the corps. Rachael has demonstrated continued interest in volunteering endless hours to the corps, including providing housing, hosting watch parties for virtual competitions, and providing transportation for corps members.
Rachael began her marching career in high school, marching two years at Chippewa High School in Doylestown, OH, and two years at Champlin Park High School in Brooklyn Park, MN. After graduating from Chippewa High School in 2008, Rachael attended the University of Akron, participating in 5 years in “Ohio’s Pride" Marching Band and the concert band while majoring in Biology. She was also Treasurer and Parliamentarian for Tau Beta Sigma Epsilon Iota Chapter during college.
Rachael continued her college education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University in 2020. While earning her degree online, she Joined Rogues Hollow Regiment to continue participating in a marching ensemble, and she also played for various community bands.
Rachael has been married to her husband and Rogues Hollow Regiment Board President, Taylor Black, since 2012. They reside in Doylestown, OH with their cats. Rachael is currently employed at Shin-Etsu Silicones of America as a Quality Control Lab Technician.
