SIMON ACOSTA

Visual Tech

Simon Acosta is a lightly seasoned marching arts performer from Erie, Pennsylvania and has a diverse range of experience. He graduated from Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy in the spring of 2023. Since middle school, Simon was a woodwind player and continued playing winds until graduating high school. He participated in 4 years of marching band with Erie High School, serving as one of the drum majors for 3 years. Simon became a teacher assistant his junior and senior years, where he taught first-year music students at his high school.

Prior to the 2021 drum corps season, Simon picked up a baritone to audition with Rogues Hollow Regiment. He successfully completed a full season at RHR, where he utilized the skills taught by the amazing brass staff. He then went on to march with Music City Drum and Bugle Corps (based in Nashville, Tennessee) for the 2022 and 2023 DCI seasons. Simon also participated in regional jazz ensembles and was highly active in his high school music programs. In 2024. Simon had the opportunity to march with Rogues Hollow Regiment again, filling a baritone hole.

Currently, Simon is a student at Lewis University, studying aviation administration. He is very excited to assist in the visual program for the 2025 season and working alongside Caption Director, Sean Bartlett.
