Rogues Hollow Regiment Announces 2025 Brass Staff
Rogues Hollow Regiment is pleased to announce the Brass Staff for their 10th Anniversary Season!
Brass Director: Wil Myers
Brass Caption Head: Alex Kinder
Trumpet Technician: Mattie Cotter
Mellophone Technician: Ryan Jeffery
Baritone/Euphonium Technician: Noah Brown
Baritone/Euphonium Technician: Cherokee Miletti-Myers
Tuba Technician: Brendan Niehaus
We sat down with both Brass Director, Wil Myers, and Brass Caption Head, Alex Kinder, to discuss what it is like in both their positions this season, as well as their excitement for the brass section and year!
Wil Myers will be going into his 9th season with the corps! In the past nine seasons, Wil has been a member of the corps, marching various instruments, including bass guitar, was drum major for one season, arranged music in 2019, and has been the Brass Caption Head from 2019 to 2024.
Myers is stepping into a new role this season! As the Brass Director, he is able to better mentor the brass staff and the members, but it also allows him and the other directors to take a better look at the whole picture, rather than just the specific sections.
When asked about his excitement for the 2025 season, he said he was excited for the culture and maturity the hornline has: “The mindset we have going into this next year is truly amazing, “I & I” will get us far!”
Alex Kinder will be with the corps for his second season this year, and was one of our brass technicians last season.
When asked about the difference of being Brass Caption Head versus a technician, Kinder said that as a tech, he worked closely with specific sections and was able to watch the growth of the individuals he worked with. But as the Caption Head, he is able to be apart of the growth of the entire brass line, and he cannot think of anything more rewarding
As we look back on our 2024 season, Kinder reflected on how we had set the bar high by smashing a guitar in Lucas Oil Stadium. He also discussed his excitement for this season: “Expect Rogues Hollow Regiment to come out this year and continue to raise that bar. The brass line has some pretty killer stuff in store!”
