Beginning at age 12, Dave Passafiume has performed with various ensembles including the Rochester Patriots (96 Soprano), Prime Time Brass (Trumpet, and the Empire Statesmen (97-01, 01 Soprano) where they won back-to-back DCA Championships in 97-98. While with the Empire Statesmen, notable performances include the World Marching Showband Competition and Royal Tournament in London, UK, the World Music Contest (WMC) in Kerkrade, Netherlands, and the 2001 Presidential Inauguration Parade in Washington, DC.

Currently, Dave is on the instructional staff (visual and brass) with the LeRoy Marching Knights Marching band out of Western New York which competes in the New York State Field Band Conference (NYSFBC). He also joined Rogues Hollow Regiment in 2024 as a member of the Visual Staff.

Dave is a graduate of Full Sail University in Orlando, FL where he studied Recording Arts and Music Business. Dave resides in Rochester, NY with his two dogs and two cats and works as a Solutions Architect with RWS, a global provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services.
